Stratton Mountain Resort is a premier four-season vacation destination located in southern Vermont. The bi-annual brochures are one of the mountain’s most visible communication pieces and are distributed throughout Vermont, Connecticut, New York and New Jersey. These brochures, along with many other print and web oriented marketing communications pieces, were designed during my two-year tenure as the resort’s Graphic Design and Marketing Coordinator.
Oil on canvas, 10.25" x 10.25"
Painting influences my design and provides a means to interpret the world. "Boat" was inspired by my first trip to Martha's Vineyard and a walk down the fishing docks of Menemsha.
The Carlos Otis Clinic's website was redesigned by customizing a wordpress template. The site is now more optimized and user friendly, extending the non-profit's reach to donors and volunteers. Built while with Red Dot Communications.
PSG is a non-profit, grassroots effort to promote advocacy and provide an educational forum to address issues of growth and development in central Virginia. This brochure was created to communicate the organization’s mission which increased monetary contributions.
Stratton Mountain hosts one of snowboarding’s biggest events of the year when the Burton US Open Snowboarding Championships come to town. A 22 foot superpipe is built for the halfpipe competition and Stratton opened it to the public for a week after the event in 2008. Event promotion was comprised of print advertisements, posters, a free-standing cut-out banner, credentials, and web banners.
Various identities created for Nectar Magazine, Worley Turf and Irrigation, Graduate Entrepreneurs Association, Southern Vermont Arts Center, the Toyota Trail Challenge, and the Leeds Outdoor Industry Club here at the University of Colorado.
Oil on canvas, 22"x 36"
The canvas was stretched by hand three years ago and the painting has been a work in progress ever since. It's my abstract visual journal and I just can't stop painting (or spraying, shellacing, or pasting) things onto it. The process and evolution has become the meaning behind this piece.
This Massachusetts based Riding Center needed a redesign of their website. It was rebuilt with a fool proof content management system that allowed the in-house administration to easily update the site's copy and images.
This is an original font that was created while contemplating the connection between man and machine. After taking rubbings from over twenty different tire treads, letters and numerals began to appear in the patterns. Tread consists of only capital letter forms and numerals found on the tires of various automobiles throughout the city of Richmond, Virginia.
This identity system was crafted around an imaginary non-profit organization centered on encouraging adoption. A poster and postcard were created announcing a traveling exhibit to airports in South Africa.
